Is this some continuity or am I just screwy?...
Right before Obi's trap when they are discussing the antidote, Jonas says something along the lines of "we don't even know what's in those syringes." Question is, how did he know that the antidote was given through syringe-means? I don't remember Jigsaw mentioning anything related to that. Sure it could've been a guess, but still...You can't just go talking about needles if you're not sure!

I see your point, however from my understanding they were all criminals of some sort and I think Jonas was a drug user/dealer. Therefore he may know alot about needles.
I'm not saying your wrong, but that's my opinion.

You think that's something? Daniel knew Jonas' name without him ever even saying it (recall when he sees his corpse).
It's funny that that's the only time we ever even hear his name (we also only hear Xavier's name once, too). Laura, Addison, and Gus aren't even revealed names throughout the movie.
This, ladies and genltemen, is the key flaw in this movie... lack of character development because there were just too many of them.

I'm sure that he just assumed it was in needle form. Of course we all know the phrase, when you assume you make an ass out of you and me!

Maybe they introduced themselves to each other (with, perhaps, the exception of Xavier who didn't care much ;P) at some point when we didn't see them, like during one of Eric Mathews' and Jigsaw's talks?

Well... Daniel mentions Laura's name at some point (when he comforts her when she is being weak, it's after the death of Obi, if I remember things correctly).
The only characters that are never named are Gus and Addison.

How else would they get the antidote in them? Shoving it up their arse?

Actually, Jonas does bend over to peek inside the oven - you see him begin to lean toward the glass then it cuts to Obi moving around the back of the oven - then the camera cuts to Xavier and Jonas comes back to a standing position. - so we can "assume" that he saw the syringes hanging inside.

Don't bring geese into this! They did nothing to you!Sorry. It's just that so many people here think it's such a big deal if they find a simple goof. They just need to get over it and move on.

I'm tell'n ya, as much as I love the SAW films, they are HORRIBLY edited, with mistakes rampent throughout both films. I wonder if they will repeat the same in SAW 3. I hope not

What is really the point in finding mistakes in ovies? It just takes out the magic behind it all. It takes out the mystery. So hat if there is a piece of duck tape on the tv in one scene and its not there in another. Next thing you know they will start finding mistakes in the characters lines.

That gives you something to do when your drunk/high/extremely bored you can go through and find all the obvious mistakes in the film. I myself thank anyone who makes a mistake. Because it gives me another reason to watch the film.

There are goofs in every fim and if people have problems with that then they need to simply get over it because every film ever made has goofs.

I don't know about you guys, but I love spotting mistakes. Not to be cruel or anything, but it reminds me nothing is perfect.

I got it. EVERYONE in Saw II is given psychic powers as a side-effect of the poison. Yup. I win. lol, jk.
I think the most likely thing is, like someone said above, that they introduced themselves while we didnt see, except Xavier, whos name was said aloud to most everyone on his tape.
And Jonas probably just guessed.

Either it's just a slip up that no one would really notice, he DID see the siringes,
or he's amazing and has the gift of foresight. In which case he would have known his fate and not gone into the furnace......

Movies don't show everything going on. By that I mean someone could be in one room one scene and a different room the next, without the footage of them walking to the new room. Know what I'm saying? So Jonas could of told Daniel his name during the course of the story without it being part of the film. That's the way I look at it anyway.

Not necessarily. If they only had 2 hours to live due to the nerve toxin, one would assume that the antidote was in a syringe. A pill or drink would take much too long to go through the digestive system to get to the blood stream fast enough to save their lives, especially if they didn't get their antidote within the first hour. Injecting the antidote directly into the blood stream would be just about the only way it would work. And since he seemed like the smartest and most sensible (excluding Daniel) guy, he'd probably know that.

I know, I was kidding about that. But still... we can't call these people anything (except for "Beverly Mitchell", "College ass", "That black dude", and "Girl that gets caught in that razor trap").

Perhaps they mentioned their names off screen? Like say, during the sequences between Detective Eric Matthews and Jigsaw? That is just what I think.

I think he assumed it was a syringe. It is the most logical answer. And they probably told ech other their names whic we don't see.
