So you're saying that because Cary Elwes was in Toronto that he must be there working on Saw III? The man has just finished 3 films and is working on 2 more...There is going to be some promotion going on somewhere and he very well could be there filming another movie as well. Not to completely dismiss your theory, but you'd think he'd hide out a little better if that was the case.

i dont know if anyone has already pointed this out yet, but i strongly doubt Cary Elwes would come back in a Saw movie because he sued the first movie because of profit problems or something.

I doubt it. He did nothing but compliment it, James, and Leigh in the Unrated Commentary. Plus he's not American. He doesnt sue over everything. lol. :D

I havent been on HOJ since jan of 2006, the only reason im posting is because during a three week camping trip near toronto i seen Cary Ewles Dr. gordon at a little coffe shop in toronto when me and some friends stopped to get drinks. Im sorry to reveal this to you all but hey we know right? This happened a few weeks ago and i have been camping since yesterday and therewas no computer or interner where i was, what a day to see that ans be on my way camping.

It sucks for me to i wanted to go into the movie fresh.:mad:

yo wtf? why are u all raggin on this guy. why is it so hard to believe him, i believe him. i think hes tellin the truth nd that dr gordan is back. - don't forget it doesn't have to be new shit with the dr. it cold be like flashbacks, like stuff we never saw happen in the bathroom. OR he could be there in the first 5 minutes, where its just him crawlin out of the bathroom nd then dieing soon after, or escaping. remember, darren said we influenced the movie so leigh nd him or who ever else might have seen this nd said- o shit yeah we should say what happends to larry . etc...:D

All we are saying is that the fact that he saw Cary Elwes in Toronto doesn't mean that he is in the movie too. It's not unpossible, but it's not a big deal that he was in Toronto.

Just go with this for a second - sAW is a big hit, far more than probably expected. Cary Elwes believes that he is to get a percentage of the profits so he settles for a salary of about $2,600 - but gets about $53,000 because of the percentage deal. However, as sAW II is about to be released, Cary then decides that NOW is the best time to file the lawsuit.

Can anyone say PUBLICITY??!??!?! What the F*ck!! right? Some may say that it was just an attempt for Cary to get even by f*cking with them as the 2nd movie was about to come out.

However, some may theorize that LGF and the gang are in on the whole LAWSUIT STORY. All a big DECOY to throw off the public about Cary making a comeback. That's right, I'm saying that the story of sAW III was well conceived before the lawsuit.

So now, the vast majority of the public [not just us goons here on HOJ] thinks that there is NO WAY IN HELL that Cary Elwes will ever have anything to do with the sAW series again. RIGHT??!!??!!

B U T - What if this is whole thing was a conspiracy just to get the vast majority thinking just that.

What a better way to reintroduce the character. WHAT A TWIST!! I mean let's face it - there were millions of people who went to see sAW and sAW II and millions more will see sAW III. So we have a couple hundred HOJ freaks who thought up the whole Dr. Gordon returns theory. We dispel it just like the 9,876,834 other NORMAL people would dispel it IF they would even take the time to THINK about it. But those 9,876,834 normal people probably haven't had a sAW thought since they saw it back in Oct/Nov 2005.

So, with that. I have to STILL believe that Dr. Gordon will be back - NOT as a flashback - but as a major part of the story.

Added evidence:

It has been said in the commentaries that some of these actors come in for a day or two to shoot their scenes, so it is very possible that Cary could have been flown in to shoot his scenes in a couple days - probably secretly since it will be more than likely that his on screen appearance will be in the last 5 minutes of the movie.

and the biggest CHALLENGE is this: can anyone find me evidence that the LAWSUIT ever went to trial. NO - that's because it never did. The suit was filed for publicity and probably withdrawn shortly afterward. It would not have taken this long to go to court for this type of thing.

OK - just for a minute - let's say that the lawsuit WAS real. Do you want to know just how fast LGF would fork over the money he's seeking and offer even more to have him come back. If I were LGF, I would offer Cary his half million he's seeking for the lawsuit and another million to come back for five minutes to really conclude the series.

Contracts are a very confusing thing - it says more than "LGF will pay you $$$ to make this movie." More than likely, there is a clause in there that the Actor agrees to be available for any sequels that may be made. Cary would have NO CHOICE but to do it or be sued for damages to the storyline.

Cary Elwes is a professional Actor - not a little schoolboy who's going to hold a grudge over losing his lunch money.

So yes, let it be said here and now that HAPPYBRAD believes that Cary Elwes/Dr. Gordon will be back for new footage, not flashbacks.

Walk in to the bathroom, find a dead Adam, dead Zepp, dead Xavier, dead Matthews and a clincally dead foot, there is no body of Dr. Gordon to be found, not even a corpse look alike. I mean, they have the rights to the character in the movie, so obviously, you do have that very right to make a corpse of that character to prove that he is dead. So I guess you can say....

That everything is turning out to be what you're hoping it to.

My feelings go up and down, at one moment I can be a total fucking non believer that Dr. Gordon is alive. The next I can be.
