I am kind of not sure. The fast paced ones seemed to be my favorite, but then again slow might work better because of the setup they have given.

Its time for slow paced for a change. With a movie that will surely have tons of flashbacks, I think that will work better.

Slow paced. Very creepy and intense. This way we get all the answers we've been waiting for and it can be more like the original.

I love the slow-pacing (Saw, Saw III, Saw V). It allows for more things to seep in and also for scenes to be adequately set up/played out.

The kinetic, WOOSH pacing of the series is something I really dislike. It makes the films seem rushed and, at least to me, there's a feeling that everything went by way too quickly. You wouldn't be able to grasp most of the stuff you wanted to. There's also less room for in-depth character development and full storyline development (instead you'll get partially developed characters and half-baked storylines)

If it's close to Saw IV, I'll more than likely hate the movie.

I wrote a very dialogue-heavy script, with gore that's few and far in between. It's very impacting that way and really emphasizes those dark scenes. Unfortunately, if they're going to try and shoot 3D to show off 3D, I doubt this movie will be very dialogue-heavy.

I want it kinda in between.
I dont want it so slow paced that its boring, like Saw V.
But I dont want it too fast paced to where we miss everything important.
I want them to go with whatever fits the story.
Hopefully itll all work out.

The series has maintained a kind of pattern when it comes to each movie's overall pacing.

Saw I - Slower/Creepy
Saw II - Faster/Intense
Saw III - Slower/Creepy
Saw IV - Faster/Intense
Saw V - Slower/Creepy
Saw VI - Faster/Intense-Slower/Creepy

I would assume Saw VII might go for a slower/creepy pacing, but if it is the last it might be a combination of both or something different.

Saw VI is actually the one that stands out the most from the series with it's pacing. Kevin has done the best thing which is finding a balance between both creepy and intense. He was able to create scenes that were slower, but didn't lose the consistant flow of the movie and he made scenes that were fast but didn't feel too over the top or disconnected with the rest of the movie's pacing.

I prefer a balance instead of overall slow or overall fast.

I want the story to have the pace of the first Saw. That movie started off slow and flashback heavy to develop the characters and give us an idea on what the hell was going on, but moved a lot faster in the second half after Zep was introduced.

The traps could be fast paced like they were in Saw VI, but with more emphasis on puzzle solving, working together, and interrupting riddles to find hidden ways to win.

I'm not really concerned about the pace though, it's the atmosphere that I'm worried about. Saw V didn't feel tense at all, where Saw and Saw VI had a creepy and tense atmosphere thoughout the entire movie. You felt tension even in the slow paced scenes when no characters were in traps.

Considering Saw VII is intended to be about 2 hours long, and will tie up ALL loose ends, I'm going to go with slow paced. Gives them more time to explain things without stuff being rushed.

I think it should be slow paced leading up to a epic conclusion.

I think we need a slow paced start, but the climax needs to be VERY fast like the first Saws.

Source on this? This doesn't sound very Burg-ish.

Source on this? This doesn't sound very Burg-ish.Patrick never confirmed anything about it being 2 hours, but he did say in the Matt J. Horn interview that it will probably be longer than the previous movies in order to wrap up everything they intend to.

But knowing Burg and the current trend that the movies are displaying, it will probably be the shortest one yet

Yeah, it was Patrick who said it would a longer Saw film.

I know that Patrick said that it was going to be longer, but I thought he said somewhere that it would be around 2 hours, in order to fit everything into the film that needed to be there to close the series.

I may be wrong though, that's just what I remember.

I'm indifferent to the pacing. If it's slow, I want it more like Saw and Saw V, and not Saw III. If it's fast, I want it more like Saw II and Saw VI, and not Saw IV. I notice the odd-numbered Saw films (Saw, Saw III and Saw V) tend to be slower-paced compared with the even-numbered films (Saw II, Saw IV and Saw VI), which seem much faster-paced. I wouldn't be surprised if Saw VII is slower-paced.

i want it to be as paced as VI was. that was perfect. best pacing of the series.

rawr! i wish there was an 'in between pace' button. i like them fast for the movies that were fast and i liked them slow for the movies that went slow. but if it is going to finally explain everything i kind of think it should be in between.

i voted not sure for this reason.

I ultimately think if Saw VII is to be the final film, then there should be a middle ground with it's pacing. I'd like for the pacing to be along the lines of Saw II or Saw VI, personally.

Well I happen to like the fast pace

so if it's like Saw IV I'm game :)

I chose slow paced.

It will seem as though the 'mind-blowing' technique will last longer.

That's impossible to answer without knowing what the content will be. VI was fast-paced and good, V was slow-paced (like glacial) and bad, but III was slow-paced and good.

I like both, it seemed Saw VI had perfect pacing though.

For the kind of story VII can have, maybe slow, but engaging that builds to an epic ending.

Fast-paced picking up from VI
Slow-paced after that
then fast-paced again for the finale.

I'm leaning towards this. Have the beginning and finale be fast-paced, while the middle is slower, thus building up to the climax.

I'm agreeing with you two here. That would bet the perfect pacing for the "finale" of Saw.
