Another interesting topic - do you think we'll see John Kramer's funeral? It would certainly bring things full circle (at least for me).
I can imagine it - a cloudy day, maybe raining a bit, the casket being lowered... the only person attending would be Jill (still not knowing that Hoffman's alive)... maybe a few grateful survivors...?

i am not the biggest fan of that idea to be honest. i think it is not necessary at all. would be interesting if Jill would come though, because i think she is soon wanted by the police

I don't like so much that idea either.
I'd prefer the flashback of Gideon's funeral.

I would like it if it's the very last scene, but somehow intertwined with the ending montage. I think it could have some potential to be very effective.

I'd love to see it.
Then again, I'm not sure if they show it, cause it would probably not do much for the story.
But aww, I would cry like an animé character. :p

I wrote it in my script, and it plays as nothing but an interluding scene. A minute long, at most. It happens closer to the ending (kind of that "middle ending" time, sort of like when Lynn is crying and saying she'd give anything to see her husband in Saw III... kind of that time of the movie).
EXT.JOHN’S FUNERAL.AFTERNOON.
Soft piano music plays.
CUT TO side shot of JILL as she stands in the breezy afternoon, dressed in black and holding flowers. The shot is of a lower angle where only the sky is visible behind JILL.
JILL is looking straight ahead, then several seconds later
looks down to see JOHN’s grave.
CUT TO Camera shot of JOHN's grave with a leaf in front of it. CUT TO The FUNERAL SPEAKER, dialogue inaudible. Frontal shot of JILL as she listens to the speaker (still inaudible) with music playing. CUT TO trees and wind blowing the leaves. CUT TO side shot of JILL again, PAN DOWNWARD TO reveal nobody at the funeral with her. An unfocused background shows a small blurry black blob within the green grass, a distance away from JILL. CUT TO long shot of JILL, the FUNERAL SPEAKER, JOHN's tombstone. and another funeral service in the distant background with a large gathering of people. CUT TO GIDEON's grave, PAN RIGHT TO JOHN's grave. The gust blows the leaf off JOHN's grave. CUT TO JILL, a tear runs down her cheek.
It would be good to see, but I don't think it's necessary.

Good idea. But maybe Jill can talking to John as an imaginary person. (Like SAW VI's clinic flashback)

That could work as well, but in that case it will make it feel too much like a "ghost" thing. That wouldn't mold well with how this is integrated into my script, but then again it all depends on where this would fall in the actual movie.
In my script, it has to do with Jill feeling a sense that John's work meant nothing to anybody, and unlike Lenny in Of Mice and Men, she is left to die in cold-flowing blood and sadness within her, not happiness or delight. A brilliant undertone to the Saw theme.

I dont think we will actually see a burial, and i partly hope we dont either. I seen the cut scene with John in Gideons graveyard, and no offence but it looked awfully fake. It was like a cheap set made from what they could find lying around the lot.
The only thing is, it would be interesting if Hoffman was to find out John had something placed in his casket and buried with him. A piece of the puzzle or something, and when Hoffman digs up the casket, the body is gone and there is just a Billy Doll that starts laughing!

They don't have funerals for high profile serial killers...They get too much media attention and they bring out all of the psychos who are obsessed with them, or the "fans"....
The only thing they might do is give Jill a can of his ashes to keep.

And a key is in the urn!!!!!
I'm not sure how I'd feel about it, it can go either way, really.

Dunno. Could be good.
Deleted scene extra maybe, or something just for the director's cut.

i keep saying about how there should be an amanda funeral ( im totally pro amanda but flashbacks are good enough if they brought her back it would be cheesy but there are so many threads saying how they think she is alive.

Don't we already see a gravestone for John and Gideon in Saw VI?

I think I do remember something like that.
maybe on a deleted scene or something but I'm not too sure.
I think it was a tombstone that reads, "Gideon John Kramer"
So I guess they only showed Gideon's grave.
Maybe after the end credits in Saw VII, they might show Jill
and maybe others at John's funeral and his grave can be right
next to Gidron's grave.

You are so funny hahaha
Greatful survivors like who?
Maybe Daniel?
Brit? Mallick?
Maybe some detectives?
Dr. Hefner?
Some of Gordon's family?
I doubt it.
I like the funeral idea though.

I'd like to see this in the flick. I can't see why they wouldn't include it

I think it'd be kind of cool to have a funeral. Or, at least make a reference to it.

what if johns funeral WAS the outside trap?
Chukkles

It would only work for me if it was the opening scene, or at least the first scene after the opening trap scene.
But yeah I wouldn't mind a Jigsaw Funeral.

I honestly can't see them putting the funeral in VII, it would be a nice idea but I don't think they will

Yeah Jill alone mourning John's death, and feeling happy that "Justice" has been served (thinking that Hoffman died). Then .... the Hoff appears and
HOFFMAN-ROUNDHOUSE-STABSTABSTABS her
Pretty Good Funeral

john should have been buried with his flesh quilt that he made with all of the jigsaw pieces he cut from his victims. in all seriousness though, what if the pieces had a more significant purpose than just being a representation that something was missing from their lives :godfatha:
