Who wants SAW VII to be the last installment, and why.
for me i want it to be coz if they'll make VII and VIII, i think the same thing that happend in V will happen again.
and i wanna see how it'll end, i can't wait anymore to know the end.
and we don't want it to boring film.

every journey has to come to an end.

Although a part of me wants it to continue forever and beyond, I think it's indeed time to slowly come to an end.
The story is over, they shouldn't stretch it anymore unless there's something REALLY important still missing. But I can't imagine what that would be.

Exactly. There's not much story left to tell, and the only thing you can do now is keep trying to drag it on and on (which will completely ruin a great franchise)
except that most part of it is already ruined...it's rightly suggested that to make more parts means stretching it, coz it make them eliminate the "revelations" which were meant to be revealed.I still cant believe "that" was the final twist for saw 5(saw 5 poster of an unknown person wearing jigsaw's face really points to something else then what we saw in saw 5).but just because they wanted to make another they pulled out the real twist and fill saw 5 with cat n mouse chase of hoffman n strahm and saw 6 with hoffman n jill which seemingly is going to continue in saw 7 unless they decide to really end it...

Saw should have ended after 3.

I want it to end sadly but i wish it wasn't in 3D for the finale if thats the case with VII they may focus more on the traps than the story i love the story i want it to end epically not on a downer b/c of the 3D aspect!
Personally, I don't care if it ends at VII or even IX. I've been happy with all of the sequels, including V and VI, so the idea of the series being continually stretched and ruined makes no sense to me. Also, just because we couldn't imagine what the next revelation could be doesn't mean there isn't an idea out there that could work fine in VII. I've heard statements like, There's no way they can make another Saw, or, They should stop now because there's nothing left to be told, for years now, and I'm still happy with what I've seen. If VII is the last Saw (as it seems to be from interviews, etc), then that's fine. I trust that the writers know what they're doing, and so I'll approach Saw VII with an open mind just as I always have. Should Saw VII be the last? Sure, why not. Though I personally wouldn't mind more sequels. Why? It has been said that every story comes to an end, and this is completely true, but if they can come up with more ideas for more sequels, then I'll be watching those too.
It's being written as the last. Will it be the last? Probably not.
Doctor Gordon's fate being in the movie is going to bring back a lot of people. Might gross enough for Lion Gates to make another sequel.

"Everything that has a beginning...has an end."
It has to end eventually. I rather it end now then for it to "jump the shark". Personally I think it has with the 3-D for Saw VII but I do want it to have a final conclusion. If Saw VII makes a lot of money tho, they probably will make another sadly.

I think VII would be a perfect count of films ...
1. I think there was no other franchise with 8 films, so i think this would be something special ...
2. I don't await a lot of a VII ending in 3D (SAW ISN'T A 3D-MOVIE! hope the story and the traps will be anyway good^^) ... so an 8th movie can make a better ending (not in 3D) - I think so.
Sry for my English, I'm from germany :)

I can name a few horror franchises off the top of my head that have 8 films or more.

Friday the 13th doesn't count as a series with 8 or more sequals, being as that most of the sequals suck major balls.
Seriously. I was never a fan of that franchise.
It died the day it was born.

Something tells me they won't be able to throw everything into
Saw VII and I don't want the series to end so quick so hopefully
there's an 8th one to make it last longer but I'm still not sure what
I want......I want to play a game.
KillerZavatar

please no 8ths movie.
You already have to start a saw night at like 6PM to see 7 movies next year and probably less than half the people will watch all then. 8 is just overkill. The story is perfect and complex. We need an end

I do because, think about it, this will be the very first horror series that actually has a definitive ending. This fact alone will make this series a breakthrough that people will always remember. Every other horror series i can remember ended because they started doing bad either that or they got rebooted.

I agree that there needs to be an end but all I'm saying is
that if they feel they can't fit every last thing they need into
SAW VII, then I'm fine with them making an 8th one.
I guess I wouldn't mind if Saw VII was the last one AND was really long.

Really long is never going to happen in Burg's world. Amongst the 3D shenanigans, I think I would rather have VIII properly end the story without gimmicks.

VI should have been the end. It's already embarrassing that they have to release a seventh film. Hopefully the series will finally come to an end with a shred (if only a shred) of dignity left intact.

Agreed, I really don't care how many they make and well If it were up
to me, I'd keep it going for as long as it should but I just want it to
end well. Not to make the end too long or too short but to make it well;
fascinating, unexpected, thrilling, etc.

Agreed. The past few sequels have been pitched in such a way that they appear as the "last" when in reality, the series keeps going. I for one wouldn't mind more sequels, I love the Saw franchise and I will always stand by it. I do agree that it should stop soon, but if it doesn't, eh, so be it.

VII is an epic way to end a series. III is slightly overdone, IV's been done before too.
But VII? No one's done that before.

I want VII to be the end because I want to know how it truly ends. Plus their new style of leaving us at a cliffhanger severely pisses me off; I don't like waiting a year for this kind of shit.
Plus eventually they'll jump the shark if it keeps going on. It's been a great ride, but it's time for the series to end. Besides if they do that, they can release a SAW - SAW VII boxset with all the deleted scenes/alternate endings they've left out on a Blu-Ray boxset, and they'll get my money. Until then, they get my money when I go see the films in the theater, not released on DVD/Blu-Ray.
I have a feeling though that they'll leave a few things unexplained just in case VII does so good that they think they can make a SAW VIII. Hell, Hackl talked about a IX...

It will all depend on the gross. Let's just hope the counterdemographic films released the same day are dog crap. Lets face it. Releasing Saw VII with an intentionally closed ending would be a poor decision if the film does very well. They will probably have to produce a film on caliber with Saw 1 or 6 to resurrect the franchise, but it's possible. It would be a truly shocking twist if it did definitively end with no unanswered questions though. I just want it to be epic.

I like the way you think.
and if they do make it up to X, I hope they do a good job going through
VII-IX because if not, they will fuck up.
SAW X would make an awesome title though.
It would be a good time to say, "JUst remember: X marks the
spot for the treasure." again lol

i hate the the boxoffice will decide thing. because then it is TOO LATE. when they have too many questions it needs a sequel. so i want them to want it be the last one even when the box office beats everything behind reality

I don't really want it to end... I'm addicted to the series! According to one of the writers, there is a possibility that Saw VII may or may not be the last. Either way, the writer said Dr Gordon's fate will be revealed. Oh, and they said they tried to put clues in other films... ??

I don't care when it ends, so long at it ends epically, and so long as they aren't dragging the story out. They could have ended it amazingly in VI by killing Hoffman in the rbt. I just hope they can top what they had the potential to do in VI.

It more than likely will be since VI did poorly in the box office. That and the filming is starting February 1st which is in 2 weeks, the earliest any Saw movie has began filming.
I've got a feeling this implies it'll be longer than any other Saw movie to date.
