The film-makers worked really hard to keep up the quality for the sequel.

This is my first post, and I just have to say I think it's awesome that you drop by from time to time to talk to us fans. I gotta say I was disappointed when I heard that you wouldn't be directing Saw 2, but I still found the movie pretty enjoyable. I can't wait to see Silence! I'm a longtime fan of horror movies and so far I really like what you guys (you and Leigh) are doing.

Hi james....HEllo....just wanted to say, i bought the saw uncut dvd, i watch the part where they use dolls but face drawn on them, with high voices, and it was a small part of the saw movie! omg it was funny and cute! if u noe what im saying, the part where u choose the voices setups, and there was like and that turning think...LOL anyways, yes saw was very good, i watched saw2 3 times, and i watch saw almost everyday! lol....

I watched Saw 2 at the theaters Friday, and it was a great movie! I've noticed that usually when a sequel is made to a great movie its never as good as the original, and sometimes only made to get more money.

That doesn't seem to be the case with you guys, you worked very hard on the sequel and it came out as a great sequel, and it appears as though you had fun doing it.

I wound up working at a movie store this year for the holidays and hadn't seen Saw yet
so I decided that the special edition of Saw was speaking to me.. and picked it up Friday
watched it
loved it so much I had to see the second today ^_^

I like the fact that unlike so many horror films these days it was not a disapointment. Too many have good ideas and interesting plots but never come together
Saw and Saw II however had me loving it from start to finish without getting bored

glad someone out there is still willing to make good movies :) especially with how they ended! wow!

I want to thank you guys for mentioning us during the Post-Preduction video on Saw Unrated!! You guys are awesome and Lions Gates definately knows who to pick for great horror movies. You guys have blended the intellegence of the Silence of the Lambs with the horror of Se7en and the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Not only do you and Leigh have great writing skills but your choices for Cary, Tobin and Shawnee were great choices. Not to mention Leigh's acting was terrific and along with your direting you guys made a wonderfully memorable movie about choice. In some ways you have inspired me to write scripts and make movies, you're misculine budget for saw amazed me, to me you prove to everybody that you don't need high budget movies in order to make money.

SAW2 was a great movie one wonders why you didn't make SAW2 but it figures that you are working on Silence =)

first of all i want to say that it's been a looooong time since i've seen a good movie!!! SAW and SAW II restored all of my faith in films made in this day and age!!! so james and leigh ... i really don't know how else to say it ... you guys are f***ing legends!!! geniuses! i've followed the career of mr whannell since day one (literally), back when he was on recovery doing movie reviews and have looked up to him ever since! i even have the neighbours episode he was an extra in, on tape haha :p AND i was even lucky enough to do my highschool work experience placement at the abc just before recovery got axed and actually got to meet him! those two weeks spent hanging out with dylan lewis (also did w/exp on the 10:30 slot as well) and leigh whannell, were the best days of my life and i will never forget them (yes even now at 21, nothing has topped that for me personally, not even half the bands i've interviewed for my radio show :) )!!!! so now alongside leigh, james wan, you are also an inspiration to me. both of you have achieved your dream and it will only get better from here! you have finally got the recognition you deserve and i admire you for all of your hard work!!! you both rock!!! can't wait for saw 3 :D

I was forced to see Saw by a friends sick and sadistic boyfriend, leaving me very angry as I watched the movie, yet I left the theater not only no longer upset, but mezmorized. Saw has become my secret obsession! I bought 2 copies of the DVD the day it came out and I watch it late at night, during the day, or whenever I need a pick me up. Why does this film speak to me in such a way that it puts me in a good mood? I may never know...
I watched Saw 2 three times in the theater, and not being a "movie person" speaks very highly of this film. I have brought several of my friends to the brink of obsession, I already having fallen over the edge, about these films. I can not wait to own Saw 2,as it will join my list of most valued possesions, right behind my wedding ring and my grandmothers hutch. No words can express how taken I am by thses films and will forever wonder what Jig Saw will do next...

I really liked what all of you did with the SAW movies. Inteligent traps, finding those who don't value life and forcing them into a position to decide how much they want their life, one surviving to become an apprentice....

DEAD SILENCE was one hell of a great movie. I don't know if it's because I love movies with crazy, possessed dolls with freakish faces, or just because it was a story told well. It's probably both.

(SPOILERS AHEAD BEWARE!!!!!!!)

I love this movie and I especially loved the twist.

I like how you guys take something in our ordinary lives we know about and twist it to something unbelievable shocking.

The idea of dolls coming to life is one thing. The idea of a human being used as a ventiloquist doll, speechless.

In Saw, chained in a bathroom, with the key in the form of a hacksaw, again, speechless. It's the basic, everyday, ideas that we would never think about and you twist it to shock the hell out of us.

You guys are pure geniuses. PLEASE make more movies and please use them twists, I can't get enough of em. Love your movies. Love you guys. Love Dina Meyer.

From the first movie 'SAW'. Towards the end when Adam jumps back up and starts attacking Zep. Beating Zep with a toilet cover, during that scee there is a certan theme that I can NOT seem to find, but would actually love to have! Does anybody know what that theme is? PLEASE

I've been so busy working on my ventriloquist horror movie (which is coming along beautifully by the way), that I haven't had the time to come by much lately. But i'm putting work aside for a little bit, to come by here and say hi and 'thank you' to everyone who has supported SAW. And now SAW2. I'm so happy to know that the fans enjoy and dig the film. The film-makers worked really hard to keep up the quality for the sequel.
